Every product in the suite is API-first and built around the same client record, so the work you do in one is there in the others. Sodium Practice Management runs the practice, CIS Manager runs the Construction Industry Scheme, and the integration between the two is coming very soon.
Why CIS Manager
Building the future of construction software.
Until now, paying subcontractors under the Construction Industry Scheme has meant cumbersome desktop software designed for PAYE payroll, with CIS included as an afterthought. We wanted a modern cloud platform designed specifically for CIS. We've started with the essentials, and there's much more to come.
Our founders
Built by people who've done this before.
Sodium Software's founders built KashFlow and Staffology, and have been building HMRC-connected cloud software for years.
Duane founded KashFlow, the first online accounting software, which at the time was renowned for its ease of use and high customer satisfaction ratings.
More recently he built Staffology, a cutting-edge payroll platform. It now underpins many different payroll products and services, and around one in five UK employees have their PAYE processed through it.
Outside of building software he is a Patron of The King's Trust, the organisation which first helped him into entrepreneurship.
Chai joined KashFlow as a Software Architect shortly before it was acquired by IRIS Software, and spent ten years at IRIS building software products.
He later joined the Staffology team, working alongside Duane to enhance the product and scale it to hundreds of thousands of monthly payslips.
In 2025 he started CIS Manager and convinced Duane to join him on this new journey as it evolved into Sodium Software.
